Coupon Terminology-cool terms your kids won’t use

Blinkies—small coupon dispensers that blink and are attached to shelves.

BOGO—Buy one get one. You’ll see Buy one get one free or buy one get one 50% off.

B2GO—Buy 2 items get one.

Catalinas—register printed coupons that you get after a purchase has been made.

ECB’s—Extra Care Bucks from CVS, found on the bottom of your receipt. Use like cash on items in CVS. They print out after eligible purchases have been made.

E-Coupon—Instead of being printed these coupons are attached to your grocery store loyalty card. Most grocery stores have these.

FAR—Free after rebate.

IPQ—Internet printable coupon.

MFR—Manufacturer

MIR—Mail in rebatePeelies—Coupons stuck on products that you peel off.

P&G—Procter & Gamble—coupon insert in the newspaper.

OOP—Out of pocket cost.

OYNO—On your next order.

Register Rewards—Manufacturer coupon that prints out at checkout giving you a discount off your next purchase. (ex) Walgreens

Stacking—When you use a store coupon with a manufacturer’s coupon for the item.

Stockpiling—When you stock up on items (that you use the most, that can be stored and have a long shelf life) when they are at their lowest sale price. Examples are toilet paper, paper goods, laundry detergent, and soaps.

UPC—Universal product code (barcode).

YMMV—Your mileage/manager may vary—not all stores will have or allow this deal.
